A Bit About Me!
My name is Alyssa Blood, and I am a third year undergraduate student of chemical engineering at the University of Florida. I have been fascinated by neurochemistry since early high school. I have published one paper in the UF Journal of Undergraduate Research, with another currently in the editorial process.
I have been officially involved in a computational chemistry research lab here at UF for 3 years now, and am very grateful to Dr. Perez for welcoming me into his program and mentoring me through my work.
I have a passion for psychiatric healthcare since it is crucial to a person's overall wellbeing and is commonly overlooked. My current research focuses on schizophrenia drug mechanisms of action.

Just for fun!
Outside of my research I love to spend my time outdoors with the people I love! Anything from gamedays with the UF marching band to SCUBA diving with my friends, I love exploring and trying new things!
